
Popcorn Sale Fundraiser
Each fall, Pack 133 hosts our biggest annual fundraiser, the Popcorn Sale! Over the course of two weekends in September and October, Scouts and families help raise thousands of dollars to fund camping trips, events, awards, and supplies for the year. Families can participate by signing up for a sales shift (or, if schedules are tight, by making a direct contribution). For our Scouts, the popcorn sale is a chance to build real-world confidence. By greeting community members, explaining what they’re raising money for, and practicing a simple pitch, Scouts develop communication skills and a sense of responsibility. They learn the value of teamwork, perseverance, and goal-setting, which are all skills that serve them well both in and out of Scouting. Even the shyest of Scouts often surprise themselves with how proud they feel after completing a shift.
