Our first group event of the year, the Hot Chocolate Hike is a welcoming, family-friendly tradition that kicks off the Scouting season. Held on a Friday evening in September, this short one-mile hike leads up Homestead Hill, just off Panoramic Highway, and ends with scenic views of Mill Valley and the San Francisco Bay at sunset. It’s a great chance for new families to get to know the Pack in a relaxed setting—and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies at the top, generously hosted by the Halterman family. Be sure to bring layers, water, a flashlight or headlamp, and a reusable cup for cocoa (extras available if needed). This is one of our most important recruiting events, so bring a friend!
